Is Your Business Organized + Profitable?

Every business is unique in its brand identity and mission even if it has services and products that are similar to other businesses. But within that individuality, there are still certain elements to growing and making a business successful that continue to stay the same.

No matter the business type, location, or direction of the company, the organization is a key component to having a profitable business. The ordered structure of a company is the foundation on which any business and brand can build on. Ultimately, it doesn't matter how good your product or service is if you can’t deliver it or present it in a seamless and timely fashion. That’s where the backend and organization of a business are key. Here’s why:

  1. The organization helps your business to run smoothly. It makes it easier to keep track of inventory, client profiles, invoices, and other important files. Knowing where everything is increases productivity since you spend less time looking through emails and folders for information. You can ship faster, respond quicker and overall offer more efficient customer service which translates well to the consumer.

  1. When your business is organized, it also gives employees direction and purpose which allows teamwork to flourish. You can have quicker team meetings that tackle tasks head-on because the information and office system is structured and user friendly.

  1. You should also organize your business to lay a platform for future success. It’s hard to focus on growth and scaling your business when you’re busy putting out the “little fires” around you day by day. Structuring your business so that daily tasks are clear, concise, and easy to manage allows you the space to think about the future of your business.

In a nutshell, organization is essential to the growth and profit of your business.

Well, now that we’ve told you the reasons you need to be organized, let’s get real, organizing is not as simple as it sounds. It really takes skill, knowledge, and time to get things on the right track to create a process that suits you and your brand. It can be daunting.

That’s why at The Digital Jane we are so passionate about helping women-owned businesses tackle the daily, backend tasks that aren’t so fun. We take our skills, knowledge, and experience and create a system unique to you and your business, saving you the time in the process. Project management, brand support, and helping to get businesses organized and profitable is our expertise and we give that value daily to our clients.

Recently, we hosted a free 5-day challenge to help businesses get organized title Organized + Profitable using a Google Account.

We can almost bet money that most people aren’t using Gmail or Google Drive to its fullest potential, and it does SO much! Here’s what happened:

Day One: We had the participants map out master and subfolders in Google Drive.

Day Two: They were tasked with creating labels in Gmail. Labels are a great way to organize your inbox on your own terms.

Day Three: Most of the participants were introduced to Google Keep. It’s a system that captures inspiration and to-dos effortlessly where you can collaborate on notes with teammates and set reminders to stay on track.

Day Four: They were shown ways to use G-Sheet to organize their content for easier social media planning and marketing.

Day Five: We offered a public figure’s special that included tips on organizing their headshot, bio, and travelers' information in a simple way for easy sharing when booked for an engagement/speaking.

We’re happy to say our participants walked away with new knowledge and a better system in place to help organize their business. The good news is it’s not too late to sign up to receive all the notes/presentations for the challenge. Click the link to get started https://www.thedigitaljane.com/organized-profitable
